For efficient communication overseas or locally, online chat method is considered as the most convenient and user-friendly way to communicate with existing or potential users outside the system. And nowadays, they can be easily blocked or cancelled by users conveniently by users too.
The Food Platform do not keep any sensitive data in this platform like credit card number which will be kept by your chosen payment gateway provider.
Personal data of the data subject can only be used, disclosed or transferred in compliance with the purpose of data collection and where it is allowed under the Ordinance. Otherwise, the consent of the data subject must be obtained.
The Food Platform takes all practicable steps to ensure that the personal data it holds must be accurate and complete, and to ensure that the retention period of personal data does not exceed the actual needs for achieving the original purpose(s) of using the data. Accounting record should be kept for at least 7 years for Hong Kong statutory requirement and customer information is part of the accounting record.
Customer email address may be opt-out in the mailing list or newsletter subscriber list anytime by users themselves. If The Food Platform receives request from platform user to delete their contact method by email, it will delete its contact information from its relevant database.
The Food Platform will take reasonable, lawful and practicable measures to ensure that personal data is kept confidential and protected from unauthorized or accidental access, processing, deletion or other unlawful use.
